KEY SUBMISSION DATES ARE BEING UPDATED FOR THE 2023-2025 FUNDING CYCLE. HOW DO YOU ENGAGE WITH YOUR COUNTRY TEAMS AND COUNTRY COORDINATING MECHANISMS?

The Global Fund has begun the preparations for the 2023-2025 Funding Cycle to support country-level efforts on HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. An important first step is to find out which disease components in your country are eligible for funding, and when will your disease component’s Window Submission be. 

The application process takes, on the average 6-9 months, including the Funding Request development, review, grant-making and approval. Engaging early will help you to be more prepared for the process. APCASO is currently hosting the Asia Pacific Community, Rights and Gender communication and coordination Platform (APCRG), (more information here: https://apcaso.org/apcrg/) APCRG promotes and supports community, rights and gender (CRG) approaches to the development, implementation, and monitoring of all Global Fund programmes. This includes (a) enhancing community knowledge of the Global Fund and its processes, through the regular bi-directional sharing of tailored and targeted information to a diverse audience; (b) strengthening the capacity and coordination of communities to engage in national and regional Global Fund grants and related processes; and (c) improving community access to technical assistance through information-sharing, linkage to appropriate providers, support developing requests, and strengthening TA provider capacity and coordination.

You can apply to the CRG TA program for projects linked to: situational analysis and needs assessments (including gender assessments); engagement in country dialogue; supporting program design; supporting oversight and monitoring of grant implementation and re-programming; and engagement in sustainability and transition strategies.

In addition, the UNAIDS Technical Assistance Mechanism (TSM), GIZ, and the French 5% Initiative are other important Global Fund-related TA programs in the Asia-Pacific region.

Matching Fund Tracker

This section provides up-to-date information on the Matching Funds grants in select countries in Asia Pacific region. What can civil society and communities do

• Follow up and engage with your respective CCM, PR, SR, or your Global Fund Writing Team on the status of your Funding Request as well as in the Matching Fund process
• Conduct consultations (virtually or otherwise, depending on your country’s COVID-19 preventive measures) with your constituencies in preparation for your community’s comments on the TRP and in preparation for the Global Fund Funding Request and Matching Funds process
• Access the CRG TA Programme or the CRG Platform should you need any support throughout the C19RM Funding Request process

Multicountry Funding (this section is currently being updated)

For the 2020-2022 Funding Cycle, the Global Fund has divided the multicountry funding into two: applicants whose multicountry grant are still either being continued or pre-shaped, or new applications that will be open to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and will undergo competitive application process. Below is a summary of all multicountry grants that will be implemented in Asia and the Pacific region. We will also be publishing the RFPs here as soon as they are made available.
