APCASO, with support from Peoples Vaccine Alliance (PVA) – Asia, launches this storybook that showcases these stories of marginalised, stigmatized, and those who health systems have often waylaid and not prioritized in Southeast Asia. This stroybook interviewed six individuals from six countries, namely Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia/Myanmar, Philippines, and Thailand. Here they share their stories with the hope that their experience also brings a change in how governments respond to challenges to the health and well-being of their most vulnerable populations. These voices all seek for an understanding that policies are not to be taken as stopgap solutions, but also should consider the wider problems of inequality, poverty, discrimination.
